WORCESTER — The North Worcester Business Association will hold its October luncheon at noon Wednesday, October 21st at The Mill 185, featuring Tim Murray, president and C.E.O. of the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, as guest speaker.
The luncheon is part of the N.W.B.A.'s 2026-27 season of networking and programming focused on Worcester's business community and opportunities for businesses and professionals throughout the region.
Murray has served as president and C.E.O. of the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce since June 2013. He leads the Chamber's work in economic development, public policy, member services and other initiatives designed to support a vibrant regional business climate. The Chamber's "recruit, retain and incubate" mission focuses on attracting new businesses, retaining existing companies and supporting businesses in emerging sectors.
Before joining the Chamber, Murray served as lieutenant governor of Massachusetts after being elected in 2006 alongside Gov. Deval Patrick. As lieutenant governor, Murray worked on initiatives involving job growth, education, ethics, pensions and transportation. He also played a role in the state's negotiations with CSX involving the acquisition of rail tracks across Massachusetts and in Massport's acquisition of Worcester Regional Airport.
A lifelong Worcester resident, Murray previously served three terms as mayor of Worcester. During his tenure, the city saw approximately $1 billion in new economic development projects, including Gateway Park and City Square.
The October 21st luncheon will begin at noon at The Mill 185 and is open to N.W.B.A. members and non-members.
Founded in the early 1980s, the North Worcester Business Association has served its members and the greater Worcester community for more than 4 decades. The organization's goal is to promote Worcester and Worcester County as a thriving area for business growth and opportunity while providing opportunities for members to build relationships, support one another in the marketplace and give back to the community.
The association's 2026-27 season runs through June 30th, with networking and programming designed to bring together business owners, professionals and others interested in Worcester's business community.
Annual NWBA membership is $75. Membership information and applications are available here.
