Family loses father and son in same tragic day

  • Double tragedy struck an area family that lost its father and son hours apart on the same day earlier this month.

Justin Everitt, 35, passed away on Sunday, July 10th, and his father, 59-year-old Allen Everitt, passed away later that same day, according to obituaries on the Paradis-Givner Funeral Home website.

Justin was born in Worcester and graduated from Shepherd Hill Regional High School in 2006, according to his tribute

“Justin was a Senior Installer for M.H.S. Global for several years, installing conveyors primarily in Amazon facilities throughout the USA,” his tribute reads. “The special times he spent with his brother Scott meant the world to him; they had an inseparable bond. He could always count on his brother Chris to lend a helping hand, when needed. But, his greatest joy in life was being a Dad. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed by his mother, family and friends.”

At the time of his passing, Justin, a father of 4, lived in Danielson, Conn.

Allen passed away at Harrington Hospital in Southbridge, according to his tribute. Born in Worcester, he lived in Dudley since 1997.

“Mr. Everitt was presently employed as a CNC programmer / machinist at IMA North America in Leominster, where he worked for over 20 years,” his obituary reads. “He enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors.”

Allen leaves 2 sons, Justin’s brothers, Scott and Chris.

There will be combined calling hours 2-4 p.m. Sunday, August 7th at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main Street in Oxford. It will be followed by a prayer service at 4.
