Louis "Patrick" Risolo (O'Connor Brothers Funeral Home) and Jacqueline Risolo (Mercadante Funeral Home and Chapel)
WORCESTER — Family and friends are mourning the loss of Jacqueline Risolo and her son, Louis “Patrick” Risolo, who tragically passed away just days apart recently.
Patrick, 60, died on Saturday, February 22nd at Bear Mountain at Worcester. His mother, Jacqueline, 81, died a week later on March 1st.
A dedicated father and grandfather, Patrick was known for his humor, generosity, and love of cooking. He worked in construction and was an active member of St. Peter’s Parish, where he built lasting friendships. His passion for collecting comic books and sports memorabilia, along with his knack for winning the lottery, brought joy to those around him.
"He was a devoted member of St. Peter's Parish, where he found solace in his faith and built lasting friendships with fellow parishioners," according to his obituaries on the O'Connor Brothers Funeral Home website. "Known for his playful personality, Patrick was a jokester who could always make others laugh.
"His gentle nature and kind heart left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were touched by his generosity and laughter."
His mother, Jacqueline Risolo, 81, passed away on March 1 at the Christopher House of Worcester. A lifelong member of St. Peter’s Church, she spent years volunteering at the church coffee shop. She worked as a medical technician and cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
"She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Edward and Mary (Moriarty) Sullivan," reads her obituary on the Mercadante Funeral Home and Chapel website. "She graduated from Worcester South High School, Quinsigamond Community College, and received professional certification from Suffolk University."
Funeral services for Patrick were held on March 3rd, while Jacqueline’s services are set for Saturday, March 8th at St. Peter’s Church.
