SHREWSBURY — The Massachusetts Port Authority will auction off 71 abandoned vehicles online this week, according to a legal notice from the agency.
The vehicles, left behind on Massport property, will be sold “as is” and “where is” with no warranties, the notice said. Bidding began at 9 a.m. Thursday, November 7th, and will close at 9 a.m. this Thursday.
According to the website, the auction includes 31 cars, 30 S.U.V.s, 7 trucks and 3 vans. Among the vehicles for sale are 9 Toyotas, 8 Fords, 8 Hyundais, 6 Chevys, Hondas and Nissans, 4 Jeeps and Kias, and 3 Dodges and Volkswagens. There's also a BMW, Cadillac, Jaguar and Mercedes.
Interested bidders can inspect the vehicles between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11th, and Wednesday, November 12th, at JJ Kane Auctioneers, 11 Fortune Boulevard in Shrewsbury. All bidding takes place online, and participants must register in advance at jjkane.com/info/how-to-bid.
Details and photos of the available vehicles are posted on the auctioneer’s website at jjkane.com. The Authority reserves the right to withdraw any vehicles or reject any bids.
Employees of Massport, their immediate family members, and their agents are prohibited from participating in the auction.
