Robert Babbidge of Millbury recently became the first $4 million winner in the Mass. State Lottery’s $4,000,000 Brilliant Titanium scratch game, according to the Mass. State Lottery website.

Babbidge told the lottery he chose this ticket because it was in bin No. 9, his favorite number.
He purchased his winning ticket at JT’s Corner Store at 238 Millbury Ave. in Millbury. The store will receive a $40,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
Babbidge chose the one-time payment of $2,600,000 before taxes.
