Mass. State Lottery
AUBURN — An Auburn resident has become the first winner of the Massachusetts State Lottery’s new “$100 a Week for Life” instant ticket game.
Jessica Wood won the game’s top prize after purchasing a $1 ticket at Greige Summit, a retailer on Southbridge Street in Auburn.
She opted for the annuity payment, receiving an initial lump sum of $5,200 before taxes for the first year, followed by weekly $100 payments for life.
Wood said she plans to use her winnings to support her family and boost her savings. The store that sold the winning ticket will receive a $1,040 bonus.
