SOUTHBRIDGE — A Southbridge woman is the first $1 million grand prize winner in the Mass. State Lottery’s new “Triple 777” instant ticket game, lottery officials announced Wednesday.
Clarissa Peltier claimed the prize after purchasing a ticket from the game, which debuted on April 15th.
She opted for the cash option and received a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes, according to the lottery.
Peltier told officials she plans to use part of her winnings to make home repairs.
She purchased her winning ticket at 7 Star Liquors, 543 Main St. in Southbridge. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
