WORCESTER — A Worcester man is celebrating a $1 million win from a scratch ticket he received as a gift.
Matthew Tracy claimed the prize from the “$10,000,000 Bonanza” instant ticket game, a $20 scratch ticket that still has just 2 of 6 $1 million top prizes remaining.
Tracy opted for the cash option, receiving a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes.
He said the reality of the win still hasn’t sunk in and that he has no immediate plans for the money.
The winning ticket was purchased at Wachusett Farms at 106 Worcester St. in West Boylston. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
