A lucky Worcester player is $1 million richer after Saturday’s Powerball drawing, the Massachusetts State Lottery announced.

The winning ticket was purchased at Smoke n Munch, 348 Grafton St., and matched 5 numbers to claim the 7-figure prize.

3 other tickets sold in Massachusetts each won $50,000. Those tickets were bought at Shaw’s in Newton, A-Brews Tap & Grill in Dracut, and Sandwich Food Mart in Sandwich.

The jackpot for Monday’s drawing has soared to an estimated $1.1 billion, with a cash option of $498.4 million. It marks the fifth largest jackpot in Powerball history and the biggest since April 2024, when a $1.326 billion prize was won on a ticket sold in Oregon.

Saturday’s drawing was the 39th since the jackpot was last hit on May 31 in California.
