STERLING — A $15 million winning ticket sold at a Sterling market has been claimed by a Milton trust, the Massachusetts State Lottery announced Tuesday.
The DAO Trust of Milton, represented by trustee Matthew Marcus, received the first grand prize in the lottery’s “$15,000,000 Colossal Millions” instant ticket game.
The trust chose to take the prize as a one-time payment of $9.75 million before taxes. Marcus said the winner intends to use the windfall for a vacation and home improvements.
The winning ticket was purchased at Lanphers Market, located at 240 Redemption Rock Trail in Sterling. The store will receive a $50,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
The “$15,000,000 Colossal Millions” game still has 2 grand prizes of $15 million waiting to be claimed, lottery officials said.
