Worcester restaurant closing Sunday, owners announce retirement

    The owners of a popular restaurant on Park Ave. in Worcester are retiring and selling the business, according to a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page last night.

    Park Grill and Spirits will also have new owners soon, according to the same post.

    “Yes, it's true. We are retiring from the hospitality business. This is our LAST WEEKEND,” reads the post made shortly after 7 last night.

    “We are closing for good at 6 pm Sunday. Great new owners soon.”

    The restaurant is offering $5 drinks with their limited stock, and said “everything must go.”

    According to an article in the Telegram & Gazette, Eric Pearson and his wife, Nancy  Cotter-Pearson, bought Park Grill & Spirits, 257 Park Ave., Worcester, in January 2017.

    The Pearsons previously owned “Pinecroft Dairy Restaurant in West Boylston and prior to that Bergson Ice Cream stores and the 1790 House in Westboro,” according to a 2018 article in the T&G
