$14,500 Rolex stolen from local store, police ask for help

    WEST BOYLSTON – A Rolex watch valued at $14,500 was reported stolen from Watermark Antiques, 18 North Main Street, on Saturday, prompting a call for public assistance in identifying the suspects.

    According to the West Boylston Police Department, officers were dispatched to the store at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 9th following a report of larceny. The suspects, whose identities remain unknown, were captured on security footage but left the scene by the time officers arrived.

    Described as appearing to be of Middle Eastern descent, the 2 women presented themselves as aunt and niece while in the store. No vehicle was observed, complicating the ongoing investigation.

    West Boylston police have called on the community to share information that could assist in identifying the suspects. Businesses dealing in jewelry and antiques have been particularly urged to be on alert.

    "If anyone has any information on the identity of these suspects, or has any information, please contact the West Boylston Police Department," the West Boylston police wrote. Police also provided a contact number, asking the public to reach out to either Officer T.J. Provencal or Officer Ryan Matte at 774-450-3510.

    On the day before the theft, Watermark had advertised its expertise in Rolex and other fine watches.

    In a Facebook post on Friday afternoon, Watermark wrote: "Strike It Rich In Your Very Own Home! At Watermark Antiques & Gold, We Are Rolex & Fine Watch Experts! Open Saturday 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

    "Open Pop on by for a valuation of your premium vintage & contemporary watches & your unwanted gold items!"
