West Boylston police seek suspects in sneaker store heist

    WEST BOYLSTON — The West Boylston Police Department is seeking information on 2 suspects involved in a shoplifting incident on Friday, April 19th.

    At approximately 2:45 p.m. Friday, police responded to a shoplifting incident at Sneaker Sapphire at 354 West Boylston Street. A pair of individuals allegedly absconded with approximately $400 worth of clothing, prompting authorities to initiate a search for the suspects.

    According to the police department's statement, the 2 are currently unidentified and are being actively sought for questioning. They were last observed fleeing the scene in a newer model silver Honda Accord with tinted windows and Connecticut license plates. The vehicle was spotted heading northbound on Route 12 towards Sterling.

    In addition to the shoplifting incident at Sneaker Sapphire, the suspects were also reportedly seen at another sneaker store in West Boylston. Authorities believe they may be involved in similar incidents.

    Sgt. Jim Bartlett of the West Boylston Police Department is leading the investigation. The department is urging anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the suspects to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
