WEST BOYLSTON — West Boylston and surrounding towns are grappling with a surge in street sign thefts, with approximately 55 signs disappearing in recent weeks.
The thefts, occurring late at night, involve the use of power tools to remove signs and brackets, presumably for scrap metal sale. The West Boylston Police Department suspects organized efforts behind the spree.
Anyone with information is urged to call Detective David Pupecki at 774-450-3510.
Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to local authorities.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the thefts, seeking to curb the ongoing spree plaguing the communities.
