Man arrested in Boylston for breaking and entering, found hiding in attic
BOYLSTON — A man was arrested Monday afternoon in Boylston after allegedly breaking into a residence and hiding in the attic, police said in a release.
At approximately 1:20 p.m., Boylston police received a 911 call from a homeowner who was monitoring his home via a camera system while he was away. The caller reported seeing a man inside the house.
Boylston officers and detectives responded swiftly, establishing a perimeter around the home. They were assisted by multiple agencies, including West Boylston Police Department, the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office, Marlborough and Westborough police K-9 units, a regional animal control officer, and Boylston D.P.W.
After an extensive search, the suspect was found hiding in the attic and was taken into custody without incident, police said.
The suspect was transported to the Boylston Police Department for booking. Bail was set at $500, and the suspect is expected to be arraigned in Clinton District Court on charges of breaking and entering and trespassing.
