AUBURN — Auburn police detectives, in coordination with Massachusetts State Police, arrested a 23-year-old local man on charges of possessing and distributing child pornography.
According to a release from the Auburn Police Department, Logan Goldovitz of Auburn was taken into custody on Monday, September 9th after authorities executed a search warrant at his residence. The investigation, which had been ongoing for some time, uncovered evidence of child pornography through multiple search warrants, police said.
During the operation, detectives were assisted by the Massachusetts State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Cyber Crime Unit, which provided digital evidence analysis and deployed a K9 trained to locate digital storage devices.
Goldovitz was held on $5,000 bail and arraigned in Worcester District Court. He was released on personal recognizance with court stipulations. Police do not believe any of the children depicted in the recovered images are from the local community.
