BOYLSTON — A bomb threat at Berlin Boylston Regional School District on Wednesday morning was deemed not credible after a thorough investigation by local and state police.
Authorities were alerted about the potential threat at around 8:10 a.m., leading to swift action from the Boylston Police Department and other emergency services. The unnamed juvenile believed to be responsible for the threat was quickly identified and questioned.
Following established crisis protocols, the school staff and members from both the Boylston and Berlin police departments, as well as the Mass. State Police Bomb Squad, coordinated a careful evacuation of the school premises while conducting a detailed search.
The search concluded with confirmation that the threat posed no real danger, allowing students and staff to safely return to their daily activities. Chief John A. Annunziata of the Boylston Police praised the effective collaboration among the various departments and expressed relief that the incident resolved without any harm.
The police department extended gratitude towards local and state agencies including Berlin Fire Department, Berlin Highway Department, and Worcester Police Department for their assistance in handling the situation promptly and efficiently.
