PAXTON — Authorities in Paxton arrested a local man in connection with a break-in at the Paxton Council on Aging and Historical Commission late last month.
Rowan Wallace, of Paxton, faces charges of breaking and entering in the nighttime, larceny from a building, and wanton destruction of property, according to a statement from the Paxton Police Department released Thursday.
Police responded to the incident on August 28th and discovered broken glass and a damaged window screen at the facility located at 17 West Street.
Fingerprints collected at the scene led investigators to Wallace, who was taken into custody shortly after a warrant was issued on Wednesday.
The majority of stolen items, including memorabilia and personal belongings, were recovered at Wallace’s residence during a search. These items have since been returned to the Council on Aging and Historical Commission.
Wallace was scheduled to be arraigned today at Western Worcester District Court.
