AUBURN — Auburn police arrested a 24-year-old man recently on charges of possessing and distributing child pornography following a months-long investigation.
Michael Gemme of Auburn was taken into custody after police executed a search warrant at his residence with assistance from Massachusetts State Police and the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council SWAT Team. The investigation, led by Auburn Police Detectives, was conducted in cooperation with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
Police obtained evidence through several search warrants, which led to the arrest on Monday, September 30th. Gemme was held on $2,500 bail and arraigned in Worcester District Court, where he was released on personal recognizance with stipulations.
Authorities do not believe any of the children depicted in the recovered images are from the local community.
