OXFORD — A driver grabbing some food at McDonald’s had a close call when strong winds toppled a tree onto his vehicle, police said.
The tree came down unexpectedly as the driver was waiting, but he was not injured, the Oxford Police Department said in a Facebook post.
“What could have been a tragedy ended up with just vehicle damage,” police said.
The driver, reflecting on his near miss, joked that he planned to buy a lottery ticket because it was his “lucky day,” police said.
