AUBURN — A woman was arrested Tuesday following a stabbing at the Comfort Inn on Southbridge Street in Auburn and a subsequent police pursuit that ended in Bellingham, authorities said.
Auburn police were called to the hotel at 486 Southbridge St. after reports of a stabbing. Officers found 2 men suffering from minor puncture wounds and evidence of a violent altercation. Both victims refused to cooperate with detectives or provide details about the incident, police said.
Officers quickly located the female suspect driving away from the scene. She initially stopped for police near the on-ramp to the Mass. Pike but fled shortly thereafter.
Auburn police, joined by Massachusetts State Police troopers, pursued the suspect along the Pike and Route 495. The chase, which occurred at moderate speeds, concluded when the suspect was stopped on Route 495 in Bellingham and taken into custody by state police.
The woman, whose name was not immediately released, faces multiple charges, according to Auburn police.
The investigation is ongoing. Police ask anyone with information to contact the Auburn Police Detective Bureau at 508-832-7777 or anonymously via email or text at TextaTip@auburnmasspolice.org.
