WEST BOYLSTON – A Clinton man is facing multiple charges after allegedly carjacking a woman at gunpoint Sunday evening in the drive-thru line of the Dairy Queen on West Boylston Street.

Police said officers responded shortly before 7 after the 55-year-old victim reported that a man knocked on her driver-side window, claimed he had a gun, and threatened to shoot her if she did not get out.

The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Cameron Jack Suarez, then forcefully pulled her from the vehicle and threw her to the ground, causing minor injuries, before fleeing in her car.

The woman was evaluated by West Boylston Fire Department paramedics at the scene.

A B.O.L.O. was issued for the stolen vehicle, which was later spotted in Worcester and Leicester. After Suarez failed to stop for officers, he was arrested in Oxford on Hartwell Road following a pursuit.

Suarez, who was on probation, is being held at the Worcester County House of Correction pending arraignment Monday in Clinton District Court. Charges include carjacking, robbery, assault and battery, and a probation warrant for removing his electronic monitoring device.
