AUBURN — Auburn police are appealing to the public for help as the search for missing resident Darren Cyr entered its fourth day Wednesday, with authorities scouring a wide area by foot, air and K9 units.

Police said they are asking homeowners and business owners on the southeast side of town to review security camera footage taken Sunday, September 14th, between 1 a.m. and 1 p.m. They are also urging hunters with trail cameras in the Route 20 area to check their devices for possible sightings.

The areas of focus include Route 20 at Millbury Street to Cumberland Farms at South Street, Elm Street east to the Millbury town line, and the train tracks and power lines that run through the area. Cyr’s clothing at the time of his disappearance is not known.

An earlier update Wednesday described the effort as a “significant” search, with drones, K9s and the State Police helicopter deployed. Officials reminded the public to give law enforcement space to operate.

Anyone with photos, video or information that may aid investigators is asked to contact the Auburn Police Department Detective Bureau at 508-832-7777.
