MILLBURY — Millbury police arrested 3 people in separate incidents over the past week, including 2 shoplifting cases and 1 involving the use of stolen credit cards.
Shortly after 3:30 on Saturday, September 20th, officers were dispatched to Marshalls for a report of shoplifting. An officer working a traffic detail at the mall located the suspect, identified as Samantha Neary, 31, of Carver, near the base of the mall. Neary was arrested and charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise. Police said she also had 6 outstanding warrants for her arrest.
Four days later, shortly after 3:30 on Wednesday September 24th, officers and detectives responded to a local business after reports of a fraudulent purchase with stolen credit cards. Following a brief investigation, Corey Williams, 48, of Worcester, was arrested and charged with larceny over $1,200 by a single scheme, attempted larceny and receiving stolen property.
On Saturday, September 27th at about 10 a.m., officers were called to Target for another reported shoplifting. Police said an officer encountered the suspect, identified as Alisha Kiriungi, 37, of Worcester, in front of Party City. Kiriungi allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with the officer before being taken into custody. She was charged with shoplifting by concealment, assault and battery on a police officer, assault and battery, and resisting arrest.
