DUDLEY — Police arrested a 17-year-old male Thursday after a bank robbery at Webster First Federal Credit Union on Airport Road, according to Dudley police.
Officers were dispatched shortly after 3:30 p.m. and obtained a detailed description of the suspect and car involved, police said. A short time later, officers located the vehicle in Dudley and detained the teen.
During the investigation, officers executed a search of a residence and recovered the stolen money along with a mask, clothing and other evidence linked to the robbery, police said.
The juvenile was taken to Dudley Police Headquarters for booking and charged with unarmed robbery and 3 counts of assault. He is scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Dudley Juvenile District Court.
Officer Tyler Smith led the investigation with assistance from multiple Dudley officers. The Webster Police Department and Massachusetts State Police also assisted. Police thanked the Webster First staff for providing information that helped lead to the arrest. Chief Marek Karlowicz announced the charges in a news release.
