RUTLAND — Icy road conditions contributed to a school bus sliding off the roadway Tuesday morning on John Robert Drive, Rutland police said in a social media post Wednesday morning.
No injuries were reported, and the students aboard the bus were safely transported to school on other buses, the Rutland Police Department said.
The incident occurred during a morning marked by slippery travel conditions across Central Massachusetts. Several nearby school districts implemented 2-hour delays because of icy roads, though the Wachusett Regional School District, which includes Rutland, remained on its regular schedule.
Police did not report any damage or citations in connection with the incident.
