    MILLBURY — A police dog helped Millbury officers track down a man who ran from police after officers discovered he had active warrants, police said.

    Millbury police said an officer made contact with two men outside Walgreens on Main Street at about 10:30 Monday night. During the encounter, police determined that one of the men, identified as George Lallier, 27, of Rehoboth, had active warrants.

    When officers attempted to take Lallier into custody, he ran, police said.

    K9 Dark was deployed to assist in the search. Police said the dog located Lallier hiding behind a shed at a residence on Main Street.

    Lallier was taken into custody without incident, police said. He is facing additional charges in Millbury.

    Police commended K9 Dark and his handler for their teamwork.
