SHREWSBURY — A 42-year-old man who was reported missing earlier this week was found deceased Monday afternoon in a wooded area of Shrewsbury, according to police.
The man was reported missing to the Northborough Police Department on Monday. Officers from the Northborough Police Department, Shrewsbury Police Department and Massachusetts State Police launched a search for the individual.
At approximately 2:30 p.m., a Massachusetts State Police K-9 located the man’s body in a wooded area near Valente Drive and Hartford Turnpike, near the entrance to the YMCA Boroughs Branch.
Authorities did not release the man's identity or provide details about the circumstances surrounding his death.
The investigation remains ongoing and is being conducted by detectives from the Northborough Police Department, Shrewsbury Police Department and Massachusetts State Police.
