Worcester tavern says a final good-bye

  • Compass Tavern, a Canal District mainstay, closed its doors for the final time last weekend.

    It took to social media to thank its customers one last time.

    On Monday morning, the tavern posted simply: "We bid you goodnight. Thanks for the memories!"

    The tavern was recently sold. According to an article on MassLive, the new owner will spend $500,000 and reopen in April as District Wood Fired Kitchen.
