WORCESTER — A popular Worcester bakery is extending a heartfelt thank you to its customers, wholesale partners, and staff after what the business described as an “extra” busy Easter week that saw tens of thousands of baked goods prepared and sold.
In a social media post, European Bakery recapped its Easter week production: approximately 7,000 loaves of bread, 4,000 babkas, 6,000 Polish strudels, and some 30,000 hand-shaped rolls. The bakery also produced hundreds of cakes and thousands of cookies during the holiday rush.
“We are especially thankful for coffee, ibuprofen, and Kelley Square Pizza for keeping us fueled this week,” the post read.
The bakery emphasized gratitude for its wholesale partners and praised its hardworking staff and seasonal helpers. “Without your expertise, none of this would be remotely possible,” the post reads.
Customers who visited during the holiday were treated to seasonal specialties, including the once-a-year Mazurek.
European Bakery announced it will be closed Tuesday, April 22nd, to allow staff a much-needed day of rest.
