Police, SWAT, ATF raid in Holden nets gun and drugs, 1 arrested

    HOLDEN — Holden police, with support from the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council SWAT team and Worcester ATF Task Force, arrested a Holden resident on gun and drug charges following a recent search.

    The raid, conducted on Thursday, October 24th in the Manning Street area of Jefferson, was the culmination of an investigation led by Holden detectives into the alleged possession of illegal guns and dugs by 27-year-old Jeffery Ruggieri. Police report that the search uncovered a stolen gun, along with various illegal drugs, including fentanyl and Percocet.

    Ruggieri faces multiple charges, including possession of a firearm without an F.I.D. card, possession of a gun during a felony, and possession with intent to distribute Class A and Class B drugs. Additional charges include improper gun storage and receiving stolen property under $1,200.

    Holden police say the operation reflects their ongoing efforts to reduce illegal firearms and narcotics in the community.
