WORCESTER — 7 Broadway shows, 11 Tony Awards and 1 theater that has them all.
The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts announced Monday its 2026-27 Broadway Series lineup, bringing a mix of Tony Award-winning favorites, Broadway hits and theatrical spectacles to downtown Worcester.
The season opens October 2nd to 4th with Spamalot, the Tony Award-winning Best Musical inspired by the film “Monty Python and the Holy Grail.” The comedy musical earned 3 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
Next, The Bodyguard: The Musical arrives November 6th to 8th, featuring songs made famous by Whitney Houston, including “I Will Always Love You.” The musical is based on the popular 1992 film.
In the new year, audiences can experience Cirque Alice January 29th to 31st, a cirque-style theatrical production inspired by Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland,” blending acrobatics, visuals and storytelling.
Broadway’s Water for Elephants follows February 26th to 28th, bringing the bestselling novel to life with a circus-themed stage production featuring large-scale puppetry and choreography.
Mexodus, a dance-driven theatrical production that tells the story of migration through movement and music, will take the stage March 19th to 21st.
The Tony Award-winning musical Shucked arrives April 30th through May 2nd. The comedy musical earned a 2023 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical.
The season concludes May 14th to 16th with The Wiz, the groundbreaking musical that won 7 Tonys, including Best Musical, during its original Broadway run.
The lineup brings productions tied to a combined 11 Tony Awards to Worcester, continuing the Hanover Theatre’s tradition of presenting touring Broadway productions and large-scale theatrical experiences in Central Massachusetts.
