“At their core, Chambers of Commerce are really communication hubs in and of themselves. This Director of Communications position is critical not only to sharing our story as an almost 150-year-old organization, but also to sharing the stories of our members and active business community,” said Timothy P. Murray, President and CEO of the Worcester Chamber. “Bringing Dominique’s experience as a professional storyteller and communicator to our team will help us expand upon our work of providing a platform for these community voices via our existing media avenues.”
Dominique returns to the Chamber after working as a producer at Worcester’s 24-hour TV news station, Spectrum News 1. She previously interned and worked part time at the Chamber as a Communications and Marketing Associate after graduating from Fitchburg State University with a bachelor’s degree in communications media. Dominique is a North Central Mass. native.
Stefanie Silva
In her role as Program and Events Coordinator, Ms. Silva is in charge of planning and executing numerous Chamber events throughout year including our Seminar Series, Breakfast Clubs, Business After Hours, and golf tournaments, just to name a few. Researching locations, mapping out logistics, creating agendas, and picking out menus for each event all fall under Ms. Silva’s purview.
"The Chamber offers upwards of 200 programs and events each year; they're a significant part of how we help our members network, establish relationships, discover available resources, and stay up to date on what’s happening in the business community,” Mr. Murray said. “The coronavirus pandemic may have changed how we conduct events, but more importantly, it’s greatly underscored the value of staying connected. We’re confident Stefanie’s passion for creating enjoyable and informative experiences makes her the right person to rise to this challenge.”
Stefanie comes to the Chamber with extensive experience in the hospitality and event planning industry. She most recently served as the Sales and Catering Manager at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel. Stefanie was born and raised in Worcester and graduated from Worcester State University with an associate degree in liberal studies.
