Mass. State Lottery
A Worcester man has claimed a $1 million prize in the Mass. State Lottery’s “$2,000,000 Diamond Cashword” instant ticket game, according to a Wednesday afternoon release from the lottery.
Aramis Arias of Worcester chose the cash option and received a 1-time payment of $650,000 before taxes. He said he plans to use the winnings to buy a house.
The winning ticket was purchased at Edgemere Mini Mart, 734 Grafton St. in Worcester.
This was the third $1 million winner in less than 3 years to be sold at a local Edgemere Mini Mart. A Shrewsbury location sold one in March 2025, and its location on Mill Street in Worcester sold one in 2023.
The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
