Alan D'Allessandro of Worcester is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Mass. State Lottery’s “$5,000,000 100X Cashword” instant ticket game, the lottery announced on Friday morning.
D'Allessandro, a karate instructor, chose to receive his prize in the form of a 1-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes).
He bought the ticket at Edgemere Mini Mart, 1 Pineland Ave. in Shrewsbury. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
