Dear Bravehearts Family,
Some seasons are just special. Some summers don’t just pass by; they leave a mark. This season wasn’t just about baseball. It was about belonging to a city, to a tradition, to each other. And this one, thanks to you, will be remembered forever.
In 2014, the Worcester Bravehearts started on a journey, not as just a baseball team, but as community and a feeling. And in 2025, that feeling was stronger than ever.
You showed up, night after night. Through the heatwaves, the extra innings, the walk-offs, and the fireworks. You cheered until your voice cracked. You stood for ovations. You stayed for autographs. You understood what it meant to root for something real. And together, we turned a team into a family. A ballpark into a second home and a season into one for history books.
Because of your continued support, year after year, the Bravehearts became the longest-running sports franchise in the history of Worcester!
We welcomed a new manager, Luke Beckstein, with a team assembled by our former manager and current Director of Player Personnel, Alex Dion. Along with pitching coach Greg Stagani and hitting coach Mike Maher, the Bravehearts set a record, 45 wins, the most ever in franchise and Futures League history!
We had record-setting attendance not seen since the 2019 season. We led the league in many statistical categories, including team batting average and home runs.
And then came the moment we’ll never forget, hosting the 2025 Futures League All-Star Game and Home Run Derby, right here, in Worcester. The first Futures League All-Star game ever played in an active minor league ballpark. Worcester became the center of collegiate summer baseball for two incredible nights, and you showed everyone what Bravehearts baseball means. Under the lights at Fitton Field and Polar Park, our city shined. Futures League players and fans from across the country felt our passion for the game and the magic of our city.
If you ask our players what they’ll remember most. It won’t be the stats. It’ll be the feeling of stepping onto that field and hearing you cheer. It’ll be the kid who asked for their autograph like they were a Major Leaguer. The handshake from a season ticket holder who’s sat in the same seat since 2014. The “tequila rally” fans who believed in them, even when the scoreboard didn’t. It will be the buzz of a packed crowd on a warm summer night. The emotions of our fans “clapping” after we score a run and smiles on people’s faces. The crack of the bat, the smell of concessions in the breeze and the infield dirt after a sudden summer rain. Three thousand students at baseball in education games, cheering their “hearts” out for each player. The Gibby’s Sunday jerseys, the Friday night bright uniforms and post-game fireworks. Jake the lion playfully interacting with fans, high-fiving kids after they sprint across the outfield and chasing their dreams under stadium lights.
That’s not just baseball. That’s Worcester. That’s us.
There’s a reason players return and revisit year after year. There’s a reason fans count the days until opening night. It’s not just about baseball, it’s about belonging. It’s about family. It’s about Worcester.
Although our final goal of winning the Futures League Championship was not achieved, we cannot be prouder of our players, coaches, staff, and front office for putting their heart and soul into this season.
As we turn off the lights and tuck away the jerseys until next summer, we want to say thank you, to you, our fans, and partners. Thank you for your support. Thank you for caring. Thank you for being the foundation of this team. Thank you for the magic, the memories, and reminding us that in Worcester, baseball means more.
We’ll be back! And when we are, we hope you’ll be right there with us, cheering, laughing, believing. See you next season!
With all our hearts,
The Vaccaro Family
