PRINCETON — A multi-agency effort led by the Princeton Police Department resulted in the arrest of a suspect connected to a series of house breaks in Princeton and several other Worcester County towns.
The collaboration, which spanned several weeks, involved the combined forces of the Princeton, Auburn, Leicester, Charlton, Shrewsbury, Dudley and Holden police departments. Their collective efforts aimed at gathering intelligence and evidence in relation to the house breaks, which recently stirred concerns among Princeton residents.
The coordinated investigation identified a suspect, which led to a search warrant being executed at his residence. Authorities found significant evidence during the search, tying the individual to the string of residential break-ins throughout central Massachusetts.
The unnamed suspect is currently in custody and was transported to the Leominster District Court to face charges related to the house breaks.
The Princeton Police Department expressed their gratitude towards the involved agencies, emphasizing the importance of their partnership. "The collaboration among these agencies showcases the strength of our community's dedication to public safety and the pursuit of justice," read a statement from the department.
While this arrest marks a notable development in the ongoing investigation, the Princeton Police stress that there is still more work ahead. They remain committed to ensuring a thorough investigation and bringing solace to the victims affected by these incidents.
Princeton Police urge anyone with further information or knowledge about suspicious activities related to the break-ins to come forward and contact them directly.
