Retired Worcester firefighter wins big in Vegas

  • A retired Worcester firefighter came up big at a poker tournament in Las Vegas this week.

Carlo Sciannameo won the Wynn Summer Classic Single Day $1,100 No Limit Hold ’Em Tournament, according to a Facebook post.

    The win is worth $64,550.

“Well played Carlo!” reads the post from Wynn Poker Room.

Sciannameo is no stranger to cashing in poker tournaments.

According to the website The Hendon Mob, this week’s win brings Sciannameo’s total career poker winnings to $880,901.

This week’s win was his largest poker payday since he finished second in a tournament during the Foxwoods Poker Classic in 2016, according to the website. It was also his first tournament win since the Mega Stack Challenge XXVII in 2013 at Foxwoods.
