Event will celebrate WRTA's zero fare policy

  • From the Worcester Area Zero Fare Coalition

Join Worcester City Councilors Moe Bergman and Etel Haxhiaj along with other community leaders and riders at 4 p.m. Thursday to celebrate the WRTA's zero fare policy.

The event will be held at UMass Memorial Medical Center on Lake Avenue (Ambulatory Care Center on South Ride, adjacent to the main parking lot).

The event celebrates the success of the WRTA's Zero Fare Policy and the importance of its continuation.

The fare-free WRTA pilot has been a lifeline for community members struggling with the burden of transit costs.

A fare-free WRTA strengthens our communities and our economy for everyone – whether you ride buses or not. Free fares on buses are a solution widely supported by residents and businesses alike.
