Downtown Worcester store closes after more than 25 years

  •

Another Downtown Worcester shop has closed.

The Newsroom, a downtown fixture on Front Street for more than 25 years, has closed for good.

The owners of the convenience store and lottery retailer closed Tuesday, according to a note posted the shop's front door.

A Dumpster was in front of the store Tuesday and remained there Friday as the store is being cleaned out.

The news comes less than 2 months after the Owl Shop announced it was closing its doors for good after 76 years in Downtown Worcester, according to a MassLive Article.

Earlier this month, the Newsroom's owners posted their closing date of December 20th.

The Newsroom was founded in 1996, according to Dun & Bradstreet.
