A body was recovered from Lake Quinsigamond on Tuesday afternoon after a 4-hour search that began in the morning.
According to a release from the city of Worcester, the Worcester Fire Department received a missing person call shortly after 10 a.m.
A multi-agency dive was initiated by Worcester firefighters, assisted by the Worcester Police Department, Shrewsbury Police Department, Worcester EMS, Shrewsbury Fire Department, Massachusetts Environmental Police, Massachusetts State Police, and the Department of Conservation and Recreation.
Divers recovered a body shortly before 2:30.
"Out of respect for the victim and family, no further details will be available at this time," the city said in a release.
