WORCESTER — A 46-year-old man is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries after being stabbed on Main Street in the early hours of Friday, September 22nd.
Worcester Police Department officers were dispatched to the vicinity of Main and Castle streets at approximately 5:20 a.m. following reports of a stabbing.
Officers found the victim and promptly administered first aid. The injured man was subsequently transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
The incident is currently under investigation by W.P.D. detectives, who are urging anyone with information related to the case to come forward.
Information can be submitted anonymously via text at 274637 with the prefix TIPWPD followed by the message. Online anonymous messages can also be sent through the Worcester Police Department website at worcesterma.gov/police. Additionally, calls can be made directly to the Worcester Police Detective Bureau at (508) 799-8651.
