7-Eleven at 973 Main Street in Worcester Google
WORCESTER — An astute off-duty Worcester police officer recalled a suspect from surveillance footage of a convenience store robbery hours earlier, leading to the arrest of a suspect.
A holdup alarm went off shortly before 4 a.m. Saturday, April 13th at the 7 Eleven on 973 Main Street. Officers found that a man had stolen cash from the register amid a brief altercation with the cashier, and had gotten away.
At 11:45 a.m., the officer, who was working an off-duty assignment later that morning, recognized the suspect from footage viewed hours earlier.
Ordering the suspect, identified as 47-year-old Keith Glover of Worcester, to halt, the officer pursued him on foot.
Following a short chase, Glover was apprehended and charged with unarmed robbery.
