Worcester police investigate early morning stabbing

  • WORCESTER — Worcester police are investigating an early morning stabbing that left a 27-year-old man injured on Sunday.

    The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. on Delmont Avenue. Officers responding to a report of a stabbing found the victim suffering from two stab wounds to his right thigh and buttocks.

    Police applied a tourniquet to the victim’s leg at the scene before he was transported to a local hospital. Authorities say the man’s injuries are non-life-threatening.

    The Worcester Police Department’s Detective Bureau is leading the investigation, but no further details have been released.
