Worcester police arrest suspect in theft from Green Street bar

    WORCESTER — Worcester police have arrested a man in connection with a break-in at a Green Street bar after a 3-day investigation.

    Rafael Perez-Crespi, 30, of Worcester, was taken into custody on Tuesday, October 15th by an officer patrolling near City Hall. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant related to a break-in at the Banner Bar and Grill, which occurred in the early hours of October 12th.

    Police responded to the bar at about 5:30 Saturday morning after a report of a past break. Officers determined that someone had forcibly entered the business and stolen items.

    After gathering evidence, investigators developed probable cause to charge Perez-Crespi with breaking and entering at nighttime for a felony and vandalism.
