WORCESTER — A 14-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a December 23rd shooting on Mount Vernon Street, Worcester police said Monday.
Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation around 6:20 p.m. and learned a 25-year-old man had arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound, police said. Detectives began investigating and later identified the teen as a suspect.
The juvenile was taken into custody on December 28th and is facing multiple charges, including armed assault to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and gun violations.
Authorities have not released the identities of the suspect or victim. The investigation remains ongoing.
