UPDATE: Shortly after 7 p.m. Friday, Worcester police announced that Liyana Collins had been found and was safe. In a short update to a previous post, the Worcester Police Department offered no other information.
WORCESTER — Police in Worcester are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 1½-year-old girl and her mother, authorities said Wednesday night.
Liyana Collins has been entered into the system as missing and is believed to be with her mother, Amanda Collins, the Worcester Police Department said in a statement.
Officials said Liyana may be in danger, and attempts to contact Amanda have been unsuccessful.
The pair was last seen at an apartment on Belmont Street, police said.
Anyone with information is urged to call 911 or contact Worcester police at 508-799-8606.
