Worcester police seek homes for rescued dogs

  • WORCESTER — The Worcester Police Department is asking the public for help in finding homes for a large number of dogs recently rescued by officers.

In a 22-second video posted by the department, several dogs of various breeds and sizes can be seen wagging their tails and interacting with Animal Control officers. Police said the dogs are now safe and cared for but need permanent or foster homes.

Anyone interested in fostering or adopting is encouraged to call Worcester Animal Control at 508-799-1211.

Police did not immediately release details about how the dogs were rescued, but the department praised the work of officers and animal control staff in ensuring their safety.
