WORCESTER — Worcester police arrested a 24-year-old man Monday in connection with shots fired Saturday night on Washington Street, officials said.
Officers responded around 9:45 p.m. Saturday to reports of gunfire on Washington Street. Investigators found evidence of shots fired near residences and began an investigation, police said.
Detectives identified Luis Nascimiento, 24, as a suspect and issued warrants charging him with multiple gun offenses, including carrying a loaded gun without a license and discharging a weapon within 500 feet of a dwelling.
On Monday, detectives conducting surveillance spotted Nascimiento near Washington Street and arrested him without incident. He faces arraignment in Worcester District Court.
