61-year-old caught in vacant home break-in: Worcester police

  • WORCESTER — A 61-year-old Worcester man was arrested Saturday morning after allegedly breaking into a vacant home on Ericcson Street, police said.

    Officers responded around 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 19th after a caller reported seeing a man enter the residence on a security camera. A loud crash had also been heard at the property shortly before officers arrived, according to a statement from the Worcester Police Department.

    Police found a shattered glass patio door at the scene and located a man nearby who matched the description seen in the footage.

    The suspect, identified as Thomas Marnalse of Ruthven Avenue, was found to be in possession of items believed to have been taken from the home.

    Marnalse was arrested and charged with breaking and entering in the daytime to commit a felony and larceny from a building.
